If the main event is free how do you raise funds for the WHAS Crusade for Children?
We receive a portion of the proceeds from sales made by vendors during the event. In addition we collect donations placed in our “Blues buckets” which are scattered throughout the grounds. We will also raffle items donated for this purpose.

Where is the event held?
The Blues Bash will be held at "Chubby Ray's Original" Louisville Pizza Company, 3910 Ruckriegel Parkway on Friday, May 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The music and balloon glow events are held at Veterans’ Memorial Park, 10707 Taylorsville Road in Jeffersontown, Kentucky on Saturday, May 17 from noon to 8:00 p.m.

Is seating available?
With the exception of scattered park benches, seating is not provided. There are picnic tables in the pavilion for dining. Please feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets so you and your family will be comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and informal. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Where do I park and how much does it cost?
Parking is available in the parking lot of Jeffersontown Community Center and the park itself. Parking is free but donations are greatly appreciated since the purpose of the event is to raise funds for the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Are food and beverages available?
Yes! Can you imagine great blues without barbeque and beer? You can purchase these and other food items and beverages from vendors onsite.

Are children welcome?
Children young and old are welcome. Don’t worry about them getting bored. If music and dancing in front of the bandstand aren’t their things we will have rock-wall climbing, face painting and a balloon bounce for a nominal fee.
